It’s a wrap - Eware 6G (Energy Awareness towards 6G) has concluded

The Eware 6G (Energy awareness 6G) project aiming to achieve savings in energy consumption in telecommunications networks has concluded. It focused on developing end-to-end solutions covering mobile devices and parts of the wireless telecommunications network and services. The project also took into account the efficient use of renewable energy sources, such as wind and solar energy, as part of a smart system. "Where current solutions have focused on specific components of the overall system, such as applications or radio networks, our solution includes a more comprehensive view of the energy consumption of wireless services," says Jukka Mäkelä, Head of the VTT Research Team.
