Retro KUHA merch – tongue in cheek … at least so far

When looking at the statistics of the Poutanet web page there is an odd phenomenon. Again, and again people visit a blog post from January 2021 with the title kuha.io is down.
Since 2021, we have been very quiet around the original KUHA community hosted networks – but KUHA t-shirts, hoods, caps and bodies are still in use … and we sometimes get the question if original merch is still stashed somewhere – or if a few new batches could be produced. Nostalgia alone does not explain why every week people visit the old post.
The likely reason for our visitors is Spreadshirt, a fairly global webstore with dedicated Finnish page showing 50+ different t-shirts that are decorated with pike-perch inspired motives. My gut feeling is that our original KUHA logo could easily outsell whatever Spreadshirt offers now, but as at Poutanet we are more into engineering than fashion, a prudent approach is asking.
Would you be interested in a 10-year anniversary edition of KUHA merch?

Oh – there is still one more thing we need to fix. On traditional KUHA merch there is a printing on the back as well:

While kuha.io is still down, the domain has been reserved by someone in Vietnam in April 2025. It is fair to assume that the reservation is neither related to t-shirs or telecom. Domain resale or spam may be better guesses. Let’s hope the domain becomes available again.
